Arts and Humanities Program

Ever since the work of local artists brightened the walls of the former Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, the arts have been instrumental in creating an uplifting environment for Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center patients, staff, and visitors.

A generous bequest from Gertrude Mertens, the gift of Audubon prints from Laurance and Mary Rockefeller, and a donation from the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Auxiliary form the basis for the Arts and Humanities Program and have allowed it to expand over the years.
